About School of Nursing
The School of Nursing, established in the year 2010, offers diploma, graduate programs in
nursing to meet the diverse needs of the healthcare sector. Qualified and experienced full-time
nursing faculty provides the right mix of inputs comprising of theoretical, practical and clinical
experience. The college has a network of healthcare centres and clinical affiliations with
community-based organizations and government agencies. All programs are recognized by both
Indian Nursing Council and Jharkhand Nurses Registration Council RIMS, Ranchi.
Nursing training programs have been formulated in consultation with experts adhering to
standards and guidelines. Hands-on-training is given to the students at the 100-bed multi super-
speciality hospital, as well as in allied urban and rural health centres. Nursing students attend
OPD sessions in the hospital. Students visit different places under the community to connect and
provide primary health services. Student actively participates in health awareness programs.
Students regularly interact with faculty members, and students colleges to hone their technical
and managerial skills and are groomed as competent nurses. Students have access to study
material in different forms such as books, research journals, magazines, newspapers and CDs at
the computerized and internet connected library.

Principal’s profile
School of Nursing was started in the year 2000 with the fore sight and vision of our Hon’ble
Chancellor, Shri B. N Yadav to prepare professional nurses, in order to improve standards of
nursing service through quality education. We have grown to be one among the largest nursing
institution in the country and the best in the state of Jharkhand, under the guidance and support
of Management of TSWS. We offer programs starting from Auxiliary nurse midwife, GNM,
B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. nursing. Our college has recognition from Jharkhand
Nursing Registration Council and Indian Nursing council.
College is equipped with qualified and competent teachers, good physical infrastructure, Library
and most importantly students get opportunity for clinical learning in parent teaching hospital
with 100 beds.
Nursing students do have benefit of contributions from interdisciplinary teaching faculty and
ample opportunity for extra- curricular activities as university has excellent facilities for the
same. We are proud to say that all our alumni’s are on job in various hospitals and nursing
institutes in Jharkhand state and also in surrounding states.
